Pet carcasses piling up in Miami
Nah, nothing to see here. Move along.

Stephen King, meet Candy and Sergio Santos.

Here's their story: Forced to evacuate their Flagler Street animal crematorium after Hurricane Wilma took their electricity away, the couple ships hundreds of pet carcasses to a Southwest Miami-Dade warehouse, where they are being kept frozen.

Almost two weeks later, the power remains out at the crematorium. And the warehouse is steadily filling up, as drivers continue their rounds retrieving the dead from as far away as Key West and northern Palm Beach County.

All the while, the desperate couple call everyone from elected Miami-Dade officials to Gov. Jeb Bush to get their power restored. At one point, the governor's office suggests they call Federal Emergency Management Agency. But after being on hold with FEMA so long, they hang up.
