American Enterprise Inst. is hosting a Chalabi talk next week.Any protest?
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 12:31 PM by Wordie
So Judy Miller's other source for so much of her wacky reporting, that old liar extraordinaire, is still in cahoots with the American Enterprise Institute. Are now we going to see the rehabilitation of Ahman Chalabi? Sheesh. How can we even allow this man back in our country? Are there any protests planned?

Here's what AEI has to say about it:

An Insider's View: Democratic Politics at Work in Iraq - A Foreign Policy Briefing from Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Chalabi

Wednesday, November 9, 2005 2:30 PM
Wohlstetter Conference Center, Washington, D.C. 20036

In the last year, Iraqis successfully elected a transitional government and overwhelmingly approved a new constitution. Despite continuing security challenges and a deepening sectarian divide, Iraqis are moving toward a functioning democracy. And while sectors of Iraq continue to lag, there is an untold story of economic reform.

Will the constitution provide the foundation for a democratic system that can be a model for the Middle East? What can be expected of the upcoming December parliamentary elections? Is Iraq moving beyond sectarian politics, or does the federalism model in the new constitution deepen the divide?

To address these and other issues, AEI welcomes Ahmad Chalabi, deputy prime minister of Iraq, to deliver his first public speech in the United States in more than two and a half years.

2. What about a peaceful protest. Signs and MSM coverage to expose AEI?

3. Actually, Steve Clemons of Washington Note, agrees with us.
(Clemons says he will have more on Chalabi tomorrow, btw)
<snip>
Chalabi should be in jail for the combination of espionage, lies, and deceit that he used to help seduce America into an invasion of Iraq that has left our nation's military and economic portfolio in tatters.

But, hey, why should Chalabi care. He got what he wanted. So what if it cost the U.S. more than 2,000 lives, untold billions, and a loss of credibility and prestige in the world. That didn't matter to him.
