8. I called her office after I heard her speak about that.
Why others weren't as forceful is beyond me. I do know that thanks to Senator Levin and others in the Senate, the fundy Republicans didn't have much leverage in the long run.

But Wasserman Schultz is a woman of conviction. There should be more like her in government.

9. My dad, a FL republican, fell madly in love with her during that.
He went ON and ON about how great she was (he was mortified by the Schiavo fiasco), and when my sister and I reminded him she's a democrat, he paused for all of two seconds and then pronounced he didn't care, he was still mighty impressed with her.

We keep working on him...maybe someday we'll get him to switch parties. ;-)

4. LOL! All of the Dems should do that!
Now THAT would be a stunt! Republicans would be howling that it's OUTRAGEOUS and DISRESPECTUL of the grand insitution. Democrats can come right back and let the public know the Republicans have been disrespecting of the American public all along...highlight holding the vote open, why, and what that means!!! :woohoo:

21. Finally! AP breaking article link here
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGBI0WQUMFE.html

WASHINGTON (AP) - Rep. Bob Ney of Ohio has been subpoenaed by the Justice Department to provide documents related to the government's investigation of indicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff, Ney's office said Friday.

"I voluntarily provided information to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee last year and I have offered to make myself available to meet with the House Ethics Committee," Ney, a Republican, said in a statement. "I believe, however, that although the government's investigation of Mr. Abramoff has been well-publicized through other sources, it is inappropriate for my office to comment in any detail about an ongoing investigation."

Ney spokesman Brian Walsh said Friday that Ney has not been notified that he is the target of any investigation and had informed House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., of the subpoena.

I really like her. She's got a cool personality and isn't afraid of the rightwingers. I love watching her and Tim Ryan speak in the House. There was two other guys with them and they were great too. Earlier this week they were talking about everything with FEMA.

24. I think that was a rhetorical comment. I was listening--it was in the con
text of the House Repugs breaking their rules for long votes (i.e Drug bill)---but who knows--she just may do it if she gets enoough grief over it.

You should of seen the Part of the speial order speech when David Dreier(R-CA)came walking in and him and Tim Ryan looked like there were going to get into a fist fight over the CIA leak and the united states intellgience.

Don't think because there people are elected officals that they wont swing some fists look at dick army in 1994.
