He was interviewed on NPR this morning. Someone said he was on Fresh Air yesterday. He was on other shows earlier this week. Why the sudden resurfacing?

Pres. Carter: We don't know yet. There needs to be an investigation.

How many time did he ask Carter the same question trying to get a different answer from him.

Maybe he should be interrogate bu$h about that fact, not a past President.

14. Carter is still way sharp. He knew what Wolfie was trying to do.
Wolfie says, "The White House claims . . . "

Carter says, "I know what the White House claims, but is that the truth? We don't know."

18. It's good. But I disagree that if Saddam had WMD we could have invaded.
Having WMDs does not, by itself, constitute imminent threat. Otherwise, we should invade Israel, North Korea, China, Russia...

then we could've struck pre-emptively.

39. Yes. I find that to be pretty wild.
Without perfect memory, I thought he kept it within the context of having Congress being in control. Not the way it is with the war resolution allowing Bush to pull the trigger.

Interesting to see someone with a brain entering the tv discussion.

With my wife (never EVER has said she's a Dem, in fact calls herself Conservative)...

We'll she loves Carter...was blown away by his articulation, intellecct, his background, and his service all without sounding like a intellectual bore...

She's even going to buy his book...Things are moving in this nation folks...Slowly, but they are moving. If my wife openly proclaims admiration and support for a Democrat you know we are doing fine.

52. Jimmy Carter was the first president ....
I voted for in a national election. I had just turned 21. I have always loved him and admired him for his high principles and his true compassion for all people.
It has always pained me that Bill Clinton did not embrace the Carter Institute instead of going over to the dark side and globe trotting with the bushies on issues regarding disaster relief. Jimmy Carter has the Peace Center in Plains and does great work for Habitat for Humanity, both here and abroad. And not to mention the work he does monitoring election fraud all over the world, especially in third world countries. I thought it was a slap in the face when Carter was snubbed by this admin regarding the american envoy to the Pope's funeral and not even asked to join Clinton and bush41 for tsunami relief, nor has he received the recognition he deserves for the work he has done for Katrina/Rita victims. I do think Bill Clinton has not stood up for him or stood by him enough, just my opinion.

I was living in Washington briefly while he was President and one day while in Lafayette Park I saw Carter walking through it unannounced with his secret service detail trailing behind him.

They all looked freaked out because it wasnt planned. You would never see chimpie doing something like that.
