Rooting out Repugs in disguise and Psy-ops types.
We see them here at DU, they take a poke at a dem and then say something like: "I don't like Bush but...."

Ask them to point you to a post where they criticized Bush Junta. Then listen to the silence.

Other suggestions welcome.

Their posts resemble teenage text messages. COme to think of it, many of them are probably teenagers.

11. Agreed, but I have a quesiion
Identifying them by the method I suggest allows other members to see who they are and how they operate--an education process. If you simply remove their post no one will really know why and the REpug can use the same tactic repeatedly.
This is just my take on the situation.

5. How about the ones who clutter up the boards with
exaggerated (OMG!!!) and duplicate posts as well as false info?

Sometimes I think they are Freepers who want to make DU look so silly that serious, interested people wouldn't want to spend much time here.

Their useless posts push more thoughtful ones way on down the queue where they get less attention.

Can they be discouraged or do they have as much right to dominate the boards as anyone else?

They never quite look you in the eye.
They have a spot of drool on their ear.
Their head doesn't quite match their body.
They keep talking about "friends" whose names
they don't remember.
They like the color blue in an unhealthy way.
They eat stew with fork.
They throw a football around in the hallway.
They say "etcetera" a lot.
