WashPost reporter just LIED BIGTIME on Hardball MSNBC. Tweety asked
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 05:27 PM by blm
if Bill Clinton was down there in Argentina would the protesters be marching against him.

The reporter said YES.

There is NO WAY that Clinton's presence would have sparked this type of backlash. NO WAY.

Even Clinton supporting the IWR never meant that if he was the one administering its guidelines that he would have invaded after weapons inspectors were doing their job.

The WashPost should change its name to Bush WhiteWash Press.

2. Which reporter? Wolf and co. on CNN are doing the same thing
They just can't accept that this is ALL ABOUT BUSH -- it would NOT have happened if Clinton had been at this summit. The signs say "FUERA BUSH" not "FUERA AMERICA"!

Pull the hanks of wool off your eyes, you stupid media fucks!

8. There would be protests of Clinton
Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 05:15 PM by Armstead
Clinton stood for the same neo-liberal/neo-con "free" trade and economic policies that people are protesting against.

The free trade movement is much bigger than Bush and the GOP. And the sooner Democrats distance themselves from Corporate Globalization the better. It's a scam and we're all paying the price.

9. tell me about Chris Matthews...
everyone seems to hate him here... but hasn't he had a few moments where he crossed the line that other MSMers weren't willing to cross?

as I recall, when the Wilson case first came out, he said on the air that if it's true, it would be bigger than watergate. at the same time, all the Fox newsers were downplaying it and saying how Plame just had a deskjob.

13. CNN International seems to get it:
Violence broke out Friday on the streets of an Argentine town holding the Summit of the Americas. At least one building, a bank, was seen burning as armed police on motorcycles and supported by officers in riot gear were facing off against the rioters.

Earlier in the day, protesters including soccer star Diego Maradona, called President Bush a "terrorist" and a 'fascist."

FULL STORY

• Watch: Protesters march against Bush
• Map: Itinerary: Bush visits Latin America
• Thousands chant 'Get out, Bush!'
• Bush declines comment on Rove

Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 05:19 PM by loudsue
They know Clinton's ratings were almost 80% approval DURING the impeachment hearings in the House of Reps., even after the republicans tried SO HARD to make everyone hate him.

 Too bad!

20. I could be wrong, but...
I tend to think that we have reached a point where the more the discredited media & rethuglicans blame Clinton the more it works in our favor. The comparisons are laughable at best and even the not so well informed can see the glaring differences between the two administrations.

The more the media & rethuglicans try to draw a parallel between the two administrations, the more they marginalize themselves.

22. No, I think you're exactly RIGHT!!!
There is absolutely NO TOPIC on which a comparison between the Clinton years and the Bush years yields the BushBaby a single point in the WIN column -- the economy, jobs, our stature in the world, the respect of our allies, etc.

In summary:

The CLINTON years: Peace, prosperity, progress and freedom.

The BUSH years: War, famine, pestilence and death.

Blame Clinton...someone needs to tell the fucking "liberal" media the current problems exist because this administration if full of dumbfucks, They created all the current problems and only they can fix them. Clinton is no longer in office. Blame someone in charge for a change, you freaking idiots. Maybe Clinton had the same intel but he had the foresight not to go to war like Commander Cuckoobananas!!!
