Somewhere in the Pentagon there is a hidden memo....
That describes the military situation in Iraq before the invasion. It details Saddam's lack of a capable military and the belief that he had no WMDs. Somewhere in the Pentagon, there is a memo that details how Chalabi would be installed as the new head of government in Iraq. Somewhere in the Pentagon is a memo that defines how we were to protect the oil wells as the first priority when we invaded...Somewhere in the Pentagon....

7. Sorry. I'm not buying it.
..the picture on that website that showed the re-construction going on is being used as prove that a large plane hit the building is not only bullshit but is intellectually dishonest..

Very, very simple way to end the conspiracy theories, show the videotapes that were confiscated..that should end all discussions...

Too bad they won't..

9. Why would they hit it with a missile?
Forget the damned picture if you don't like it. I also don't think that that picture proves much. But read the rest of the article.

Think about the implications of what you're claiming. Why would they do that? Why would they risk getting caught at something like that? Even if we assume that MIHOP is true, why not simply fly the plane into the building like they did elsewhere? The missile theory makes no sense and doesn't fit the evidence. What happened to the people who were on that flight? What happened to the plane? Why would they make it so complex with so many potential loose ends? Why not just take the simple path of flying the plane into the building and leaving no loose ends? I agree that these people are nefarious, but they're not that stupid.

Why do people insist on building these complex theories when a much simpler more likely explanation fits the evidence? This kind of thinking doesn't help us.

10. I think that memo was moved...
I believe it was transfered to the White House WHIG when OSP got busted and closed down. But hey, that's just my thinking.

11. Isn't this better, and on video, to boot?
In Cairo, on February 24 2001, Powell said: "He (Saddam Hussein) has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbours."

This is the very opposite of what Bush and Blair said in public.

Powell even boasted that it was the US policy of "containment" that had effectively disarmed the Iraqi dictator - again the very opposite of what Blair said time and again. On May 15 2001, Powell went further and said that Saddam Hussein had not been able to "build his military back up or to develop weapons of mass destruction" for "the last 10 years". America, he said, had been successful in keeping him "in a box".

Two months later, Condoleezza Rice also described a weak, divided and militarily defenceless Iraq. "Saddam does not control the northern part of the country," she said. "We are able to keep his arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt."
