I saw those trucks and I wondered if one could get away with driving around in trucks covered with horribly graphic pictures of war casualties, including severely injured children. All sorts of captions possible: "War", "Saved from Saddam", "Compassionate Conservatism", "Collateral Damage", etc.

All of this would be emotionally manipulative and not the best way to conduct a rational debate. However, since I believe strongly in free expression, I wouldn't do a thing to try and stop people from do any of this -- but the rules better be completely neutral about political agenda of those who try to use such shock tactics.

the race here in VA. Kaine is personally opposed to the death penalty, but says he will enforce, Kilgore is your typical RW nut job who looks forward to putting people to death.

Anyone, I kept saying, how can you say you are pro-life when you are pro-death penalty? His response, between chaw, was 'but you are pro-choice'. I kept saying that pro-choice means just that; a choice. You have the right to make the choice of what to do with your own body.

Didn't get it. I finally said, look dude, admit it, you are pro-fetus, not pro-life.....

Instead of imposing their views onto people I wonder if they're doing anything to actually help end it? During the Clinton years abortion was low and during Bush's first term abortion went up 20%.

Hell, if you want to post gory pictures of ANY medical procedure you can make it look bad. No medical procedure looks pretty. This transparent scare tactic is ridiculous.

I'm sure all the born children who see that sickening propaganda will be scarred for life. But we all know the freepers don't care about the born and the damage their policies do to them.

Also, that photo is a hoax. I have seen the wacko site it comes from, and they have hundreds of images like it. This organization of sick individuals claims it got these fetuses from a garbage can outside of an abortion clinic. If that were the case, the clinic would be in SERIOUS trouble and not just with the fundy fuck-bags. Medical waste is disposed of in special bio-hazard containers, and picked up by a medical waste truck for incineration - NOT thrown in trash bins.

These people are the sickest of the sick and should be jailed for their actions.

When I worked in downtown Columbus in 2004, I saw these trucks driving around and circling our Capital building at least a couple times a week. The pictures are horrid. I sincerely hope young children didn't see them because they would justifiably scarred.

One of the moms followed it up to the main street and gave them hell for coming around a school with young children. The picture was disgusting according to this mom.

I called it the "dead baby-mobile". A van with sick pictures all over it tried to block the parking lot in the middle of Kerry HQ at union headquarters.

We got the rainbow K/E sign and they moved out. Afraid of getting gay cooties, I guess.
