Dems are now Exploiters? (gotta love that no spin word choice)
From Yahoo's News page:

Democrats Move to Exploit Iraq Missteps

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051105/ap_on_go_co/democrats_iraq

Wow that certainly leaves one impression.

But the body begins like this "WASHINGTON - Democrats are intensifying efforts to hold President Bush and his fellow Republicans accountable for missteps in the Iraq war, as they seek to exploit a potential GOP vulnerability heading into Congress' midterm election year"

Sounds kinda different don't it?

So we Exploit...but they Misstep...

Wonder why it doesn't read:

Democrats finally move to hold Bush White House Accountable.

Instead of MIssteps why doesn't it say "Lies and manipulation"...

I'll tell you why. Because words matter. These bozos know how much they frame and bias the whole discussion, and how they skew the views of the audience with carefully worded headlines. They don't expect people to read, review, or even think about the body of the message. Just read the headline...get that vague impression...then move along like good sheeple.

I'm fine with neutrality. I'm even better with HONESTY...but this blatant and continued push to skew the news ever to the right is making me puke today.

Just had to share that.

9. Part of the list was published in
Al Franken's book Lies and the Lying Liars. I know I have seen other references to that list on this site and in other places.

Missteps? They make it sound like what Bush and his administration did was an error.

10. The corrupt FAILURE of Republicans in Congress to hold Bush* accountable .
Edited on Sat Nov-05-05 04:59 PM by TahitiNut
... gets spun as partisan exploitation when it's ACTUALLY partisan CORRUPTION.

Imagine how much different it would be if BOTH parties in Congress demanded accountability as the Constitution envisions? We SHOULD be seeing a headline that says "Congress Holds Bush Administration Accountable."

So, it's not only media whores pimping for the Bushoilini madministration (i.e. 'exploit' and 'missteps'), they're also pimping for the Republican majority in Congress by failing to highlight their corrupt complicity in failing to adhere to their Constitutional duty.

12. Like I said to the Yahoo board, the GOP exploits death
The story read like a Karl Rove papal bull PR written to sound like an actual piece of journalism and released to the wire services...same old, same old.
