Sunday Morning Blather about to begin
This Week (ABC):
Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.) and Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) discuss the showdown in the Senate; Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates discusses global health issues; journalists panel.

Meet The Press (NBC):
Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) discuss the Alito nomination and the Democratic shutdown of the Senate; journalists discuss the president's low poll numbers.

FOX News Sunday:
Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Charles Schumer (D-N,Y.) discuss Iraq, prisoner treatment and the Alito nomination; journalist Mike Wallace talks about his new book; National Zoo Director John Barry.

Wow...FAUX might actually be worth watching this week

Face The Nation (CBS):
Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kans.), Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and journalist Jan Crawford Greenburg discuss Iraq war intelligence and the Alito nomination.

Looks like CBS wins the straight-up pre$$titute award this week.

6. I would really miss
Sunday night HBO: Six Feet Under, the Sopranos and Rome. Other than that, I'm ok without it.

I enjoy TLC and all the health shows at night..Terror in the ER.. or maybe it's TRAUMA in the ER. Great stuff, knowing you AREN'T the patient. (yet)

7. Meet the Press is finishing up already in NYC...
because of the coverage of the Marathon. Kennedy was good, Coburn thinks he can spot lying by looking at the person and Timmy seems a wee bit miffed at the administration's trying to lie about him. The panel was saying that they want to hear from both Bush and Cheney...Cheney especially.

If you read between the lines of rhetoric. ;)

10. Last night FTN was billing Durbin as a guest
and I thought, "Close! One Durbin is easily worth two wingnuts"

Guess they figured that out, too.

13. I think NO democrat EVER should go on fox.
I don't care how many people watch it, but by going on the network they are acknowledging that it is more than just a propoganda tool. They have a whole line up of their own liars, so why do we patronize these people?

16. I wonder how many people actually watch Faux.
They have core groupies, but I thought I read somewhere Faux's news network ratings aren't all that great.

22. After seeing it for the 1st time. I must agree. I flipped over to MTP
Chris Wallace is a pathetic fucking joke. Good grief! He sounded like a 3rd-grader reading talking points as questions.

14. This Week is painful to watch
Linda Douglas sounding like a typical presstitute about the Democratic "political stunt." Newet Gingrich and George Will spinning the conservative line with complete certainty, and very little challenge.

Fareed Zahkaria of Newsweek, as usual is mixing sense and honesty with neo-liberal nonsense.

Joe Biden calling many democrats elitist for disapproving of his flag pin lapel.

Unnnhhh.. ..It would certainly be nice if they'd expand their guest lists to include some real liberal and progressive guests.

17. Very disappointing all along
Zakariah should have said upfront he was touting Hillary, rather than attacking Kerry out of the blue (not saying he should have been touting Kerry, just that the attack was prompted by nothing).

Biden was equal to himself, with little substance.

Look at all the creepy crawlies that slithered out this morning. Slugs, leeches, vipers, and just plain worms.

19. Anti-Torture McCain is whoring it up BIG time on FAUX
And, btw, how did the son of Mike Wallace (of 60 Minutes fame) come to be a shill for FAUX?

And now McCain saying Rove shouldn't be asked to step down, spinning he doesn't think Rove gave up classified info.

20. But bringing up even the Israelis (who face attacks very often) don't
condone torture.

Wallace tried to pigeonhole McCain on the red herring: "What about (torturing) Khalil Sheikh Mohammed?" McCain dismissed that BS question rather well and Wallace went and changed the subject to Alito.

21. FAUX showing 2002 clip of Schumer calling Saddam a "danger" to the US
Schumer saying "I wasn't as sure of it as the President was."

Come on, Chuck. Tell them the TRUTH! You didn't have the same info as the WH was privy to!!

ARGH!
