Money Down a Rathole ?
Is all of the money going to Iraq going to American troops? Or is a lot of it going to pay for the recruiting of Iraqi troops? I heard one Administration official say that they had about 60,000 Iraqi troops now under contract. Yes, we are paying them. How much? Probably more than they were paid in the Republican Guard. This is the "new" Republican Guard.

But, does anyone think they can buy their loyalty? How long before they turn against their bosses? Would you trust them to guard your perimter? This will turn into a huge rathole. But it may buy Bush cover for the next election... by permitting US troops to withdraw to a more safe area and cut down on the casualties?

1. It's "money down a rathole." For sure. But, hey! I remember Viet Nam...
Seems Viet Nam isn't even discussed anymore. Sort of like we have a vanished history until Reagan/Poppy came into the American Presidency.

What....America functioned before them? NOOO....don't tell me that. Didn't REAGAN SAVE THE FREE WORLD.....and make it SAFE for Poppy and Shrub and US? And Limbaugh, too?

Yes..???

2. I think it's going to the troops like Turkish troops that are
going to be relieving ours. Well, not the troops but bribes to their countries like Turkey to supply troops. They are mercenaries being paid by our government is the way I see it.

3. It's money down the Bush buddies pockets then money
into the republican pockets. I saw a debate on Cspan last week. Seems the soldiers salaries are already paid by the $400 billion defense budget. The rest goes to Halliburon etc and other republican big campaign contributors who are doing business in Iraq.
