How would you describe America's prognosis?
A. The Bush Approach - Everything is all good. Nothing to worry about. Buy! Consume!

B. Wile E. Coyote - America is running off a cliff and nobody has noticed that we're breaking the laws of Physics... YET.

C. Pretty bad shape

D. ZOMBIE NATION - We've silently collapsed but Bush, because of A. (see above) and because he wanted to get 're'-elected so bad that nobody has noticed it yet.

4. B. Wily E. Coyote
Our budget is in shambles, the debt will prove disastrous, we are losing our better paying middle class jobs, and the military is running on fumes.

There will not be a happy outcome when gravity wins the contest with the inertia.

6. Crazy clowns driving bus off cliff
We are fucked on so many levels: global warming, peak oil, environmental disasters, debt, imperial folly, theocratic zombies, water usage (yes water, all those desert cities are in for a major readjustment.)

10. Lets assume that
In 2008 we win back the White House..It will take at least one full term plus one half of a second term to repair just 1/2 of the damage Bush has inflicted on this country..this is assuming that we also have a Democratic congress to work with..

8. B - Wile E. Coyote
This country has been run by the product designers at Acme for most of the last 25 years. The products never work and inflict enormous damage on the credulous Coyote. But he keeps buying them, hoping that they will eventually provide a shortcut to a meal. People are just starting to look down and notice that long plummet into the gorge.

"Is it any wonder you've got no power
When you pay a thief to keep it for you?
Is it a surprise that your wine is sour
When you let a liar choose the brew he pours you?"

Ian MacCormack, 1978
