6. This is why we don't have referendum in NY:
When they start voting on teacher tenure, everyone will have to quit their jobs to stay home with their kids.

No one can teach without tenure. No tenure means no punishments, and the children run the school.

It's not about the money, it's about being able to give an F or detention or serve as a witness to a violation that results in suspension or expulsion.

Teacher tenure is the protection to balance the nutcase parents who think they can run the school with their personal lawyers.
