2. Oh brother
I'll never understand them. They're obviously not strong enough in their faith I think. I'm a strong Christian but I love science and it was always my favorite subject in high school (chemistry and biology). Evolution is about how something happened and based on facts. You can't prove God exists and what the Bible says but you can't prove it's false either. I get so tired of all the ignorance in this country. Oy!

3. Darwin was wrong.
Man is still an ape.

Step right up people. . .let's march back to the 3rd Century. You only thought you missed the coronation of Charlemagne.

Ignorance brings violence against the knowledgeable.

9. While we watching this story tonight on the NBC Nightly News,
I said to Mr. Wonderful: "this country's going to hell in a handbasket".

I was taught biology in a Catholic high school in Chicago in the late 1960's by a nun who wholeheartedly believed in evolution.

I would love to see some of these fundie wingnuts try and make their case for "intelligent design" to good old Sister Eucharia.

She'd clean their clocks.

14. Lots of those nuns were very well educated, like yours
The fundies could only hope to get the level of education of some of them.

10. these people should be forced to take good old penicillin when
they are sick. Since their bacteria never adapted (evolved) they will have no problems with resistant infections. Ha, they will all die, too bad.

11. You know, shackles of scientific method, fact-based understanding of
reality, that sort of thing. I feel pity for anyone who has to raise their kids in that place.

12. She broke the shackles of sanity a long time ago.
And she won't notice the ball and chain of ignorance until she tries to go swimming.

15. These people are the reason
that the Catholic Church has come out in support of evolution. They see how crazy the fucks are on the other side of the coin.

16. What's really spooky...
..the new standards change the definition of science from seeking natural explanations for pheonomena to something else. (Sorry, I can't readily find reference to the new language.

17. You want to see hilariously stupid anti-science fundies? Watch this.
http://www.cnnnn.com/

Go here, to "Video," then to "2002 video vault."

Then down to "People Believe the Darnedest Things."

It makes you truly embarrassed to inhabit the same country as these people.
