PBS Frontline - "The Last Abortion Clinic" NOT being shown where I live

here in NC. Should be on Channel 4 at 9pm, but it's not. This really pisses me off. It's not delayed, or rescheduled - it's just not being shown. Instead we're getting some Rx - Future of Health thingy which is not even a Frontline ep. How bout the rest of yall? :(

be it broadband off their website or grabbing a torrent of it. I wonder if it's because I'm in a southern "red state" that it's not being shown here. Think I'll call my local PBS station tomorrow and find out what the deal is. This is really unfair for people who live around here and don't have broadband - to have this episode of Frontline basically unavailable to them. Sounds like censorship to me. :mad:

8. I know what you mean.......

I called up the West Virginia public broadcasting and complained when they refused to show the 9/11 hearings. They gave me some line like "there wasn't enough interest" to dedicate a space of time for the event.

and it says: "Watch Full Program On-line...Coming Wednesday at 5pm et

I hate to tell ya, but I have 2 PBS Channels, and they both have it on here at 10:00pm in Atlanta.

Did you check your local stations website for the schedule?

10. Yep, no luck here

Even checked my issue of Centerpiece. They're just not showing it. :( I'll grab it online. I just hate that other people who perhaps do not have broadband access will be denied even the CHOICE of whether to watch it or not.

I have to tell you, this is kind of a wake up call for me, I thought North Carolina was on the same page as us here in Georgia, and not be so quick to cave to the RW Reactionaries.

I guess it's because most of Atlanta is a "Blue" area.

wouldn't want you people down in North Carolina to be exposed to the truth now would we? That both sucks and blows at the same time. How the hell can they justify that? :shrug: I'd be all over that PBS station like a cheap suit if I were you.

11. Oh, believe me, they're gonna get an earful from me tomorrow

I'd really like to hear their explanation. We donate to PBS every year. If it's due to fundie pressure, then they're gonna get more than an earful - because then it's about censorship. :mad:
