13. Everyone's projected him the winner.
When you're up by 4% with 75%+ of precincts in, most of the time that's a win.

15. Thanks... Forgive My Compulsion...
I live in Florida!!! I vividly remember Florida being called for Gore around 9:30 PM in 2000 and I ran next door screaming "We Won, We Won!"

I'm just sooooooooo overly cautious since then!

18. Polls Close at 8:00 PST in California
Hi--
Here is California we're all waiting for the Arnold train wreck too, but relax just a bit. The polls don't close here until 8:00 Pacific time which is about 1 and 1/2 hours from now. They won't report anything until the polls close.

Please send all of us Californians good energy for a clean sweep Arnold defeat!

4. Democrats usually write off red states.
Here we made a big investment and won.

5. Dean's approach
is not to focus on the swing stats and holding the safe ones but to build up strong party organizations in every state in the US and use those organizations as foundations for federal elections. If we do as well in California and Ohio as we have in Virginia it is proof the 50 state approach does work.

6. While I agree with the strategy, I agree with you
I think a 50 state strategy is a good idea. However, Kilgore was a Lt Gov and replacing a popular Democratic governor. I don't think it's a HUGH!!! win. Certainly good, but not a shocking upset.

16. Yes...as much as I love Dean...this has nothing to do with him..
and think it's wrong to gloat over it as a Dean Win.

Dean's strategy is still being played out where he's doing great stuff i shaking up the Dem heirarchy out there.

This win...if it truly "IS" a WIN...is due to a popular Dem Govenor passing on his legacy to his "chosen one."

7. VA had a Dem gov before
So it's not unprecedented. I want to win in landslides, not nail biters.
