McCain on The View today...I'd give him a D on his history test
McCain was hemming and hawing on The View today trying to explain how Dubya can recover from "these trying times".

He said historically there have been two Presidents that had to deal with scandals in their second terms, Reagan and Clinton, and both were able to recover.

Ahhh...hey John, does the name Richard Milhous Nixon ring a bell?

2. What was Clinton's approval rating during his "scandal" again?
Not sure about Raygun, but he had pretty high marks throughout his presidency, too.
