Freeper explanation for Dem victories: "Rumors" about White house
To: Sir_Humphrey
It's only going to get worse since the President has no plans to come out and combat all the rumors... even Britt Hume was rolling his eyes tonight and they were alluding that everyone is just hiding out because they have nothing to say.... can we say profoundly disappointed?????

So, the indictment isn't law, it's rumor? The torture photos aren't real, they're rumors? The deficit is a rumor? The war is a rumor?

I guess the only thing that's real is the blue dress.

2. There's a rumor that 2040+ Americans have died in Iraq.
Gosh, where'd we hear that? It's not like we're allowed to see the coffins or anything!

4. And what do these learned sages have to say about
Frist & Hastert's Big Investigation? I'd love to have seen the confusion and complete breakdown of FR-style social order as that abortion of a story developed.

You know, they were a really damned whiny bunch when the Republicans controlled all the levers of government AND had higher approval ratings. I can't even imagine the caterwauling and sniveling that will be emmanating from their mothers' basements when they achieve minority party status.

5. They seem to be ignoring not only one problem, but
what seems to be near one HUNDRED now. It's the entire Party! There's a list here on Du that lists all the indictments, convictions etx by State, and they don't even include the DeLay, Libby Frist, or the NEW one from today about the CIA leak of info about detainees in secreat prisons.

That's OK. Keep hiding your head in the sand. Sooner or later, when all your idols are in prison or impeached, you'll recognize the reality, even though you still won't accept that anyone was ever wrong!

7. Remember when Chimpy said "I heard there was rumors on the Internets"?
Since then, the Freeptards have believed EVERYTHING is a rumor.

9. "Rumors"???
You mean like Fleetwood Mac

"If you wake up and don’t want to smile,
If it takes just a little while,
Open your eyes and look at the day,
You’ll see things in a different way.

Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone.

Why not think about times to come,
And not about the things that you’ve done,
If your life was bad to you,
Just think what tomorrow will do.

Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone.

All I want is to see you smile,
If it takes just a little while,
I know you don’t believe that it’s true,
I never meant any harm to you.

Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone.

Don’t you look back,
Don’t you look back."

10. Let The Freeperstanis Enjoy Their Little Fantasies...
I'd like to let the little Freeperstanis enjoy their little fables while they may. Such complaisance would make a Corrupt-ican/Conserva-crook defeat in 2006 hit them in their guts like a double-fisted punch from Muhammad Ali in his heyday.

11. I checked out the long faces in Freeperville
Thought it was pretty hilarious when one said that Hubert Humphrey would be preferable to Corzine and another genius replied that if Humphrey were alive today he would be a repugnican.

13. Do you know those people are Freepers?
Could be liberal democrats. I don't know, I think it's poor taste and a bad reflection on us to post something like this....

14. I've already heard that
Some people really don't like that Freeper Alert.
Guess I'm just not progressive enough yet, still evolving.
Yes, those guys could have been good brothers-in-arms, I don't know. But I still think it's FUNNY AS HELL!

I liked your "Freeper Alert" image, although I know that many DUers didn't. But look at it the way: just think of the Freepers trolling DU who don't!

21. Them's fightin words to a Minnesotan, Freeper
HHH was a Democrat's Democrat. Because of Humphrey's gutsy support of a civil rights plank in the '48 Dem platform Strom Thurmond broke ranks and formed the Dixiecrats. Hubert always said that the measure of a society was how it treated its poor, its elderly and those at the margins of society. He'd no more be a 'puke than Kennedy or Truman.
