WHOOHOO! MALLORY OUR NEW MAYOR!
I know it may not mean much to most here, but Cincinnati has its' very first African American Mayor, and the best guy for the job. Put the chimp regime in prison, and I could die happy!

2. Yeah baby!!
I'm soooo glad he won. I thought he wasn't going to win at first. I don't like some of the council turnout, but Mallory will have a somewhat new council to work with.

19. WOOHOO Indeed
But a quibble in the interest of accuracy. Ted Berry in 1972 was Cincinnati's first African-American Mayor and the notorious J Kenneth Blackwell was Cincinnati Mayor in 1979-1980.

as I am a life-long Cincinnatian, hell I even remember blackwell's tenure (he was a Dem/Charterite then). Thanks for the correction.

22. EXCELLENT. You're wrong about one thing, though. It DOES INDEED
mean much to most here.

EVERY victory for the Good Guys, no matter how minor the victory might seem, is CRITICALLY important. Remember, as Howard Dean advised us - WORK FROM THE GROUND UP!! BUILD FROM THE GROUND UP!!! We will get back what was stolen from us. Our votes. Our leadership - setting OUR agenda. Our White House. Our country.

I'm thrilled about the Cincinatti vote. And in Ohio, no less. Elsewhere around here, there are people lamenting that Ohio is a total loss. Well, maybe not total.

This. Is. Good. Stuff. I'm tickled to hear it! You go CELEBRATE - you deserve it!!!

:toast:

30. Ken Blackwell was mayor way back when
I only remember because he was mayor in 1979...I survived the Who concert and I remember him showing up at the col. and being interviewed.
Anyway, BIG CONGRATS to Cincinnati!
