Nothing motivates hateful bigots more than hate and bigotry.
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 11:31 PM by Bouncy Ball
Nothing motivates the right wing in this country more than hate and bigotry.

Ergo, the right wing is full of hateful bigots.

What else am I to conclude?

People can't afford to take their kids to the doctor when they're sick.

Veterans who need medical and mental health care live under overpasses, sleeping on cardboard.

Mothers work three part-time jobs with no benefits to feed their kids because one full-time job that pays the bills is impossible to find.

Our schools aren't funded. Period.

We're killing people half a world away who did nothing to us.

We're losing troops half a world away who had no reason for this war.

But we sure as hell need a redundant stupid-ass piece of shit BIG OL PLATTER of hateful bigotry written into our state constitution, right, you assholes?

RIGHT?

What is this Jesus that you seem to take your cues from nowdays? I've seen churches around here with marquees out front "VOTE FOR PROP 2!" Aren't you just ashamed of yourselves?

He can't be the "you want my shirt? YOU GOT IT!" Jesus I was taught of.

He can't be the "you wanna hit me? Here's my other cheek!" Jesus I was taught of.

He can't be the goin' around preaching RADICAL LOVE and PEACE Jesus I know of.

He can't be the "pay your taxes and keep your nose out of other people's business" Jesus who washed the feet of the lowest of society as if they were kings.

He can't be the guy who talks about peace, about not being violent. Can't be the one who said "for whatsoever you do to the least among you, YOU DO ALSO TO ME."

Nope, can't be him. Can't be. I don't know who this preaching hate, preaching violence, supporting war "Jesus" is you made up out of whole cloth, but you know what? I don't want to know. I think it's something evil you right-wingers have latched on to. Something to justify your hateful dark little souls and your nasty actions. And I suggest you all search those dark souls before you are permanently lost, if you aren't already. (Hey, the KKK voted with you on Proposition 2. That alone should tell you on which side you stand. It tells me enough about you.)

Shame on you. Shame on ALL of you stinkin' lot.

If you do believe in a hereafter, you WILL have to answer for your hatefulness on earth. You WILL have to answer as to why you went around with a puffed-up bigot's heart and not the humble heart of one who doesn't judge.

You guys make the Pharisees look like amateurs. Shame on anyone who votes for hate, but the ones who clutch their hand to their heart and exclaim with upturned eyes their religiosity should be doubly ashamed.

4. A lot of good that would do.
It tells me where the bigots are. I hope they keep advertising their alliance with the KKK.

Anyone who preaches hate in God's name and I mean ANYONE who does that is someone I stay far away from and keep my child far away from. I truly consider people like that a danger to peace-loving people everywhere.

9. A few months ago there was a church sign that said
Guilty by association. I have no idea what it was about, but that's what it said.

I think I'll swing by that church this week and tell them they were right on the mark with the sign.

11. Yep. Guilt by association.
My litmus test from here on out will be "did you vote for Proposition 2?"

If you did, you voted with the KKK and you are a hateful asshole bigot and I want nothing, and I mean NOTHING to do with you.

10. Did you tell him he voted with the KKK?
Is he a "Christian" by any chance?

How proud he must be to have voted solidly with the KKK.

Barf. My condolences on your brother-in-law.

12. Better be Careful! New Du Rules

Quoted from DU's new policies above:

4. Religion -- Discussion topics relating to religion that have little or no relation to politics are no longer permitted in the General Discussion forum, and must instead be posted in the Religion/Theology forum. To offset this tightening of the rules, we have loosened our guidelines regarding what sorts of comments about religion are considered inappropriate, and we have added clear warnings to those who are easily offended by religious discussion. We retain the all-important distinction that "discussions about ideas are usually permitted, but broad-brush bigoted statements about groups of people — either religious or non-religious — are not."

I am not sure how you determine whether they are related or not to politics with the RW's in charge, but I was a little taken aback!

So, I think, if your post disappears look in the R/T forum?

14. I'm really not worried about it. I put the word "Christian" in
quotation marks to emphasize that I don't think they act in a very Christian manner and I think most all Christian DUers (myself included) understand that.

Thanks!
