1. Comeback?

Where you been? He's been ahead all night. The margin has been tightening as the final precincts have come in.

5. Actually, in some of the earlier returns I think he was trailing.
Boy, it would be great if he could win this race! :)

I may take it back, Virginia. now what I want to know, if 100% are reporting in the Governor and Lt. Gov races, why are three missing from the AG race? what's up with that?

How does WaPo have the candidates with more votes from fewer precincts reporting than the State Board of Elections? Does not compute...

*adjusts aluminum chapeau*

ETA: And the SBE shows Kaine and Byrne with more votes at 99.13% and 99.05%, respectively, of precincts reporting than WaPo does with 100% reporting. I don't get it.

11. WHA?
961 K to 953 R McDonnel declared the winner

vs.

956 to 955 Deeds wins

This is messed up. If the lower report is earlier then McDonnel LOST votes. I'm confused.

Office: Lieutenant Governor

L L Byrne Democratic 953,229 49.31%
Write Ins 3,714 0.19%

what's intersting about it is that Byrne is quite liberal, more so than Kaine, and still got over 49% of the vote.
