1. Signatures....
They can claim that a signature doesn't match the signature on record.

Or they can make them mysteriously disappear from the warehouse.

6. You can call in and check
I think they notify you here in Oregon if there's a problem with your signature and you've got time to go verify it. You can also call them and check and make sure your ballot was counted. We haven't had any report of any ballots disappearing, not ever that I know of. We've had mail-in for 8 years, IIRC. We need open source software, but otherwise it really does work.

2. They can in Texas. There are only like 3 or 4 reasons you can
get one of those here.

5. I agree, mail-in
Solves so, so many problems. You get your ballot 10 days out so there's time to take care of some types of registration errors, no challenges and all of that crap. You can even call in to make sure they got your ballot when you send it back. Things that you may not have realized were on the ballot, you've got time to check them out and make a good decision. No lines. No holding back machines. Open source opti-scan, registrations with receipts, mail-in. The only thing you'd have to do is have the drop-boxes monitored 24 hours a day to avoid tampering in places with a history of that sort of thing. Otherwise, it is an excellent system. I wish people would get behind it.

7. In some states they're only counted if the race is close.

8. Yeah, why not push all Dems in OH to vote by absentee ballot...
Who gives a damn if Rethug votes get swallowed in the machines (OH, I forgot, they'll just up the machine totals anyway)
