4. Ah, McSweeney's...Best Lit Magazine around Bar None.
Their online collection is a hoot, too!

But, honestly they are a great group of people working towards keeping literature and writing alive in our society. Their work with children and writing is nothing less than amazing.

Their publishing wing is also quite good at finding nice selections of modern fiction that doesn't involve Oprah or the New York Times Bestseller List.
