Defeat of California 73 is huge....parental notification of abortion:
Edited on Wed Nov-09-05 08:17 AM by Mend
1. this was the fundies prop and was meant to bring out their vote
2. this was an attempt to roll-back abortion rights
3. this has national implications

I am really relieved about this one going down. People want reproductive rights left in private and left alone.

4. They'll Go Back After The Gays
That's an easier issue to get the fundies all atwitter.

6. I already boycott Texas....those assholes...and the boycott
continues due to their anti-gay vote.

8. I Rarely Travel Or Buy Anything But Blue
Last year we changed a Florida vacation to a California one cause we were so pissed at the election. I've cancelled meetings or had them moved so I didn't have to travel to Dallas (no way will I step foot in that place) and Atlanta.

I just have to settle on those lousy winters in Hawaii or those ugly summers in Washington or Vermont or Wisconsin and those boring cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and every other major city in the nation (I will go into a Blue city as long as a blue state is nearby...like St. Louis).

Cheers...

I have a teenaged friend in California, father's dead, mother's missing in a crack house somewhere. Who was she supposed to notify when she was pregnant at 17? She's of age now. There's so many kids out there like her.

7. Oh this is swell! I didn't know before I went to bed. THIS is how we
defeat the Fundies and send them back to their churches where they belong.
