EVERY Day Is Fitzmas Day! wooohoooo!!
Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard in the regional elections! You guys kicked ELEPHANT!

There are 3 good things about this:

1) Balance of power shifting already and it's not even 2006 yet.
2) It shows us (and the Republicans in Congress) that the fixing of the electoral process is not yet complete.
3) This will have an immediate impact on the behavior of Congressional Republicans who are up for re-election in 2006.

From now on, Capitol Hill will be echoing with the sound of stampeding wing-tips as Bush's fellow-Republicans race to be the fastest to distance themselves from the lead zeppelin they call a President. Sweet music to my ears, it shall be.

Enjoy your confirmation hearings, Alito,

The Plaid Adder

1. So true.
I think this has put Repubs up for re-election "on notice" as certain pundits like to say.

And, yeah, have fun, Alito.

3. Yeah it does change the dynamic
Well I should say it reifies the dynamic. The dynamic for the last several months has been a time of reckoning for Republican Boneheads. They looked to these elections as a confirmation that this time of Reckoning was over and the American people were back on their side. That didn't so much happen.

4. The old Italian saying that has guided my life:
"You spit up in the air, it lands in your face."

They've spent the past five years spitting.

Now, we can watch it land.

8. And we can laugh at our own desperation by calling it all "Ftizman".
You know you are alive & adult when you can laugh at yourself.
