Does anyone here actually sit and watch Imus?

Why is he on MSNBC? I can't switch channels fast enough when I see him. Goddamn corpse with opinions.

Lewis Black this morning....Kurt Vonnegut was on earlier but I just caught the last few seconds of it. To my surprise, Imus didn't ridicule Vonnegut and Lewis Black was hilarious as usual.

I could not (and still can't) figure out why anyone can watch that crap.

I don't usually watch Imus, but today was an exception because I wanted to see Lewis Black. I agree: Imus needs to retire.

I used to watch a lot of Imus. Part of it is being an old radio guy, I appreciate how well he runs that show and could have its moments of laughts and smarts. It was one of the few shows where Democrats came on regularly and Imus did a lot to boost Clinton in the early 90's.

Now, I can take bits and pieces of him. I stopped looking in for a couple years after he came out as a bushbot, but it seems he left the reservation last year and has been straying further and further in recent months. Yep...call it blowin' in the wind...but that's what this guy has done to survive in the goofy business he's in. If he has any smarts, it's in how to keep a show relevant and interesting for so many for so long that is truly a unique talent.

Politically, Imus is like many other radio talking heads...full of one liners with little substance. I find Bernie McGirk to be a real racist asshole. He used to be obnoxious and he'd take shots at everyone, now it's very right wing...when he pops up, I pop out.

Still...this is the only show you'll hear Maureen O'Dowd or Frank Rich or Doris Kearns Goodwin...and Imus doesn't mind sticking it to Repugnicans these days. He all but embarassed Rectorum recently. So the I-Man gets an hour, that's all...LOL

Call McGirk and his type Raygun Democrats...blue-collar, construction worker types who look at the macho and the power over the substance and the nuance. They glammed onto boooosh following 9/11 cause he played that Rambo bit, but now it's played out and they see him for the baffoon the rest of us do. The difference is they're hypocrites in pretending they it was "shtick"...it wasn't.

figured out that the war was based on a bunch of Cheney lies. He does drone on a lot about personal trivia, but otherwise he is entertaining. Hey, he told Santorum, that he was seriously misguided. No, he's not perfect, but if you love politics, books, and sports....Nothing else thought provoking to watch, if there is a boring topic on C-SPAN

Normally I don't, but he was pretty damned funny today. And I had to see Lewis Black. Imus is easy to take when you're waiting for Lewis Black. :)
