CNN's Miles O'Brian say we now have a "leakgate" in Washington
Edited on Wed Nov-09-05 09:19 AM by NNN0LHI
No not the Fitzgerald investigation. He would never use that term for that. He was referring to the new leak that the Republicans are pushing...hard. Yep Miles got his morning RNC talking points. Quick look over there.

2. Replace the real scandal with a fake one. Brilliant!
That means we can't stop pushing the real one in the media's face.

4. Obvious attempt at a "tit for tat" distraction
They tried this before not too long ago with that Abel Danger thing. Create anotehr security scandal to distract from the leakgate scandal.

This sounds like more of the same.

I think it'll backfire on them. Makes the administration look even less in control of events.

6. This artful deflection sounds "Rovian" to me...
It could very well be a "set-up" job - most likely some Dem or 'Thug critic was tricked and/or paid to leak the torture docs to deflect criticism away from Cheney, Libby, Rove & Co. by keeping the media spotlight away from Fitzmas while encouraging the "Dems weak on National Security" meme they have been pushing for the past 5 years...

But I forgot to wear my AFB this morning, so it may have been "the greys" putting ideas into my head via microwave transmission again. I hate it when that happens!

8. Maybe not so artful. Looking like self-inflicted foot wound.
Lott says the leaked info looked to be "word for word" from a meeting attended only by repugs.
Nice shot!

10. Agreed- there's nothing brilliant about this one.
The Republican leadership got *punked*.

Now they've got another leak to look into, the leaker is apparently a Republican, AND the Bush Admin.'s secret torture prisons have become public knowledge.

11. The pukes and their schemes ...
Edited on Wed Nov-09-05 10:31 AM by Neil Lisst
This one is so transparent. Someone leaks the CIA prisons, so the pukes use it to allege another leak case needs to follow.

Hey, pukes! It's not working. No one is buying. The little boy who cried 'Wolf' every day for the past 4 years is not selling.

And even if it were, a leak by someone in the bowels of government is not the same as a leak by someone in the oval office.

12. Given their methods for outing Plame
It wouldn't surprise me if Addington or Hannah had a chat with WaPo shortly before Cheney's little chat with exclusively Republican Senators. SSDD.

15. Well, given their current timeline, won't it be embarassing
when they find the "leaker" within a week or so
