1. We do in this household!
Our local Citgo station, in my precinct, is run by a Democrat. She is a cool lady who runs a small diner attached to the back of the convenience store portion of the place.

Even if it wasn't Venezuelan, I would support this business.

5. Don't own a car
I live in the city. Not that I hold any great love for exxon and the others, but I certainly wouldn't buy something to support Chavez.

own a computer?

By the way, by buying Citgo gas, I support the western hemisphere. That is the way I look at it. If I buy it elsewhere, it is coming from the middle east.

18. Chavez Rocks!

You are pathetically mistaken and have obviously bought into the propaganda fed to you by the like of Otto Reich etc.

8. I go to Costco most of the time here...
They have it cheaper, and they themselves are a bluer company than other stations you might go to around here.

If I need gas, and can't get to a Costco with gas here easily, I think go down the street to the 7-11 that sells Citgo gas. Here in California, 7-11's are where you should be looking to get Citgo gas.

20. Venezuela is not a left-wing demagogue. I can't believe how far some
of the propaganda has reached. Even here at DU, but then again....

Please read this:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x5302739

And then watch this documentary:

"Otro Modo es Posible... en Venezuela" ("Another Way is Possible... in Venezuela")

Film by Elisabetta Andreoli, Gabriele Muzio, Max Pugh

Message from Italian directors:

"Six months after the failed coup of 11th April 2002, we went back to Venezuela to record the political and social consciousness and the determination of the Venezuelan people in defending democracy, justice and peace. From 2nd to 11th October we filmed and collected more than 50 hours of interviews, images and archive material.
The media situation in Venezuela is very similar to Italy's own; newspapers and TV stations are firmly in the hands of an oligarchy that prevents the circulation of news, and continues to disseminate the same lies about the coup and the country.
The film tells the story of a DIFFERENT WORLD which is not only possible, but EXISTS in reality."

12. Trouble is that there isn't a Citgo station for tens of miles around
The nearest major city to me is pretty well locked up by Phillips and MFA. There are a couple of indepents in town that I patronize, but no CITGO.
