Those Oil Execs are not "testifying"!
From what I just heard on the news, the chair refused to make them swear an oath to tell the truth!

Apparently, Cantwell moved for that and the chair said 'no'. Then, another Senator seconded and the chair said, 'we're not going to hear any more about it'.

Outrageous!

1. What hearing is that?
Sounds like the Democrats should consider walking out, straight to the press.

3. It's airing on CSPAN3
Senate asking top execs about profits.

Why wouldn't they want to swear them in????

2. Are you streaming it or is it on C-span 3 (which I don't get)?
Do you have a link?

Who is the Repub chairman?

4. Heard about the not swearing them in on the radio

They played a clip of it. It is streaming on CSPAN3 (just tuned into it). IIRC, Grassley is the chair but I could be mistaken on that.

edit to correct: From the CSPAN tag, it looks like this is the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee. Ted Stevens is Chair.

5. Oh, and CSPANs page lists it as "Incitement Laws"
although they do have a fancy shmancy eye catcher with all of the oil logos announcing the "hearing". There's a 'watch' button on that.

Weird.
