3. I struggled with including Agnew on the list...
...and left him on to celebrate the dishonor he brought to himself. I also thought it was interesting that the ThinkExist folks chose that quote, which casts him in an appropriate, non-flattering light.

ThinkExist posts three birthdays per day on their front page. Sometimes they're a mix of heroes and villains, like today.

4. Did you see the Futurama where
One of the Head of Richard Nixon's aids was the Headless body of Spiro Agnew? Funny stuff.

9. I remember the Nixon head but missed Agnew...
...but I'm willing to bet, for better or worse, that with all of the controversy surrounding Cheney and Libby, an "Agnew Renaissance" is right around the corner.

Wanna bet? Can't you just picture the MSNBC and CNN "Spiro Agnew: A Look Back" one-hour specials?

2. I was watching Cosmos
last night. Still one of the best things ever done on TV. Hearing Sagan explain the beauty of the interconnectedness of everything in the universe is such a welcome balm after exposure to shrieking fundies. Carl died far too young.

"I'd rather know than believe." -Carl Sagan
