5. Are you speaking of the Iraq War or My Lai?
"The kill-or-be-killed nature of combat tends to dull fine perceptions of right and wrong."
Colin Powell - from his autobiography "My American Journey"

6. Maybe his Iraq role should be viewed in context of My Lai: do the right
(correct) thing if expedient.

8. The correct thing seems to be elusive for Mr. Powell.
Perhaps it has just never been expedient for him or his career.

3. Powell went to meeting with Dem Senators and said war wouldn't happen
unless Saddam had WMDs, but they needed the IWR to get weapons inspectors in.

He lied.....and he did it under the guise that he was sharing their concerns and KNOWING the Bushies were intent on war.

7. SOOOOOO!!! What's His Excuse Now???
HE SHOULD be Front & Center.... telling the truth and NOTHING but the Truth!

I'm NOT seeing it!! He screwed us and this IS NOT the first time he's done something so despicable. I don't have a link but he was "on scene" with Calley & My Lai way back when!!!

I don't trust him and think he's just another MILITARY hack!!!

9. I assume they meant "skepticism"
Not "reticence".

Too bad he wasn't reticent.
