2. Well done.
I'll bet you can't find that in too many Kansas papers.

4. About the only Kansas paper that publishes
Non Sequitur is the Wichita Eagle, and it WAS there.

Another Kansas slam.

Sigh.

5. Good for Wichita!
We deserve the slam. Maybe it will wake people around here up. I hate everything I am reading about the state that I love but shame is a powerful tool.

6. Sorry, but the people who NEED to be shamed
aren't likely to be visiting DU. I just would like a little less bashing, not only of Kansas but of people who are our friends.

7. I meant shamed
by seeing it in the Wichita paper. We here do not need it, I too am tired of it since nobody here would ever have voted that way. I meant in Kansas we should feel enough shame to oust these people next year. If we feel OK with it then the chances are less that we will be successful. Kansas needs to know that this will hurt the state and our children and shaming them might be the first step to getting them to think ourside of their church.

8. Understood. Thanks for clarifying that.
I'm sorely afraid however that the "religious" right is not ashamed of any atrocity. They USE religion for nasty purposes.

Meanwhile, I'm going to the democratic headquarters today to help with a political mailing. My first time, and I'm ashamed I've not done it sooner.

9. Good for you!
We all start somewhere. I never had done much until the presidential primaries this last time. Now I am heavily involved with some things. Go for it and have fun.

3. I think the I.D. supporters
should all have to wear hats like DEVO.
