Ben Stein on CNN last night called Fitzgerald a bully.

He attacked him for his prosecution of the administration. I never liked Stein, but he has sunk to a new low.

... now THERE was a PRESIDENT!! A perfect example of good ol' Republican family values, integrity and honesty!

but he is stuck in the last century, and I think his support for Israel gets in the way of his good sense.

Some of his writing is moving, when he stays off politics. He had one piece about his father that made me cry.

and the poor, with no other classes in America. Caught his routine a week and a half ago. Spouting off about the 'working class' wanting to live like the middle class being the problem and forcing US corporations to outsource so they can cut labor costs.

Dumb shit. The problem is that corporations are not in the business of providing product or service so much as just selling more stock. To do that, they will go to any extreme to make the next quarterly report look appealing to Wall Street Analcysts, er, Analysts.

So, Ben, how come COSTCO does so damned well? They pay a living wage, have most employees on full time with benefits and tend to keep employees a long time. Their CEO manages on a salary under a million (or even half a mil) and business is BOOMING! Those guys on Wall Street keep telling COSTCO they are doing it wrong but COSTCO keeps truckin.

Fitzgerald's appearance on our TVs reminded us that there are honest, smart, self-deprecating, intelligent, humble Americans slogging away at their thankless tasks day in day out as they pursue THE TRUTH. Next thing you know, Harry Reid makes a major play in the Senate. Next thing you know, Lott blows the whistle on his own party. Next thing you know, people hit the polls and vote like they have a brain.

Fuckin' A. I credit Fitzgerald and his FABULOUS grand jury for turning this country back towards where I, for one, NEED it to be going.

Ben is a very smart guy, but he clearly has some mental defect. Why he cannot put his smarts to use in analysis instead of spin is beyond me. The guy's an incredible jerk.

Stein did a commentary on CBS Sunday Morning about a week ago about working class at Delphi having to lose 2/3 their pay basically saying they would be getting would they should get and that's the brakes.

What he failed to suggest is that CEO's should get about 1/500 of what they are getting so they would be getting, well, what they should get.

He gives me cramps.

I'd much rather listen to his much more compassionate counterpart, Nancy Giles.
