Reason to vote for Kucinich, Dean, or Kerry or Braum or Edwards(?)
You know what I hate about politicians? I hate ones that want me to use the familiar form of their name when they just want to have me like some cheap hooker...

Consider:

"Wes" Clark..."Joe" Liberman..."Dick(?)" Gephardt...

Really, I don't even know "Dick" and he wants me to call him "Dick"?

For some reason, I'm reminded of a line in the opening scene of "Resevoir Dogs"....the part where they're discussing the inner meaning of "Like a Virgin"... but I digress...

John Kerry, Dennis Kucinich, Howard Dean, Carol Mosely Braun, John Edwards

These are the only ones worth voting for, simply because they aren't using some cutesy-cutesy faux familiarity...of course, they can't, I mean, "Johnnie"...."Howie"...."Denny?" but hey...

Al Sharpton, OTOH, I don't know...he's always been called "Al," and frankly I've never understood why...

1. Are you anti-abbrevatory?
I don't recall any statement by Clark, Lieberman or Gephardt FORCING anyone to call them by the shorter version of these names.

Maybe if I have a couple early-morning beers I'll understand your post...

3. Only 1/2 way...
"Jimmie" Carter...vs. "Ronald" Reagan...

"George W. Bush" vs.... "Mike" Dukakis (OK, sometimes he went by "Michael...")

Bush I vs. "Bill Clinton" It was that "Bill" part that turned off alot of conservatives...maybe it's a Southern thing on Clinton's part, but for me, it's too damn false to call him "Bill" I don't know the guy...you don't call the Chief Justice "Bill" Rhenquist...OK, you call Scalia, "Fat Tony" but still...

5. For the record, I've heard HD called "Ho-Ho"
I understand why he doesn't use his nickname.
I can't imagine anyone would elect a president Ho-Ho.
