Feel the need to shoot something? :-)

On edit: You may also want to chat with the guns forum peeps here at DU.

5. I always feel the need to shoot something, but I behave anyway
That's why mankind invented violent video games-- so we won't feel the need to get off our couches to shoot stuff-- and everyone lives happily ever after (except Hillary Fuckin' Clinton).

Actually, I'm thinking of organizing a Night to Make Change House Party at a firing range. I'm hoping to get The Pink Pistols involved, and maybe the Amendment II Democrats.

The right-wing is very uncomfortable with the idea that liberals may be armed and might not be pascifist wimps. I think we need to use that.

I used to be totally anti-gun until somewhere during the 1st Bush admin. and then started thinking along similar lines as you. I'm still pro-gun control and unlike the majority of males in my little burg, I've never owned a gun but I whole-heartedly support 2nd Amendment rights.

7. It's good to know how to shoot and to have friends who have guns
Now that I have a child in the house, I don't want to have a gun in it.

But I enjoy shooting, I'm confident in my ability to hit what I aim at, and I like knowing where I can find guns if we need them.
