With this attack inside Jordan, the militant extreme Islamist have lost.
This attack will turn many away from any sympathy or compassion for the plight of those suffering under US military in the ME. The Al-qaeda terrorists (if responsible) have shown by this attack that they do not really care about the Palestinian cause (70% of Jordan is Palestinian). There is no win for the people caught in between the US terrorists on one hand and the Islamic terrorist on the other hand. It is so sad.

This is the can of worms the Iraqi invasion has opened.

14. "Owned" like a MacDonald's franchise.
"The biggest explosion was at a Radisson, where a wedding party was reportedly caught in the blast, a Grand Hyatt and a Days Inn "
http://www.cnn.com/

These are american hotels even if the owner of record is a palestinian.

Palestinians do not make up 70% of Jordan. They are just about at 50% though.

On edit...they are actually a little over half (56%). There is about 5 million living in Jordan, and 2.8 million claim they are Palestinians.

17. Of course they do.
Jordan is one of their Arab enemies - the government is considered to be a collaborator with the Americans and British.

Look - sometimes things are exactly what they appear to be, and this is most likely one of those times. There really is an al qaeda. It really does blow shit up using simultaneous multiple attacks targeted quite frequently at western interests in Arab countries.

13. Huh?
They attacked american hotels. My guess is that the Palestinians, whose hatred of the American government is surpassed only by their hatred of the Israeli government are not going to be turned away by this incident, quite the opposite.

15. sources
According to Arabic news two of the hotels are owned by Palestinians. So they were not American hotels, but hotels where Americans stay. (I haven't seen ownership claims for the last hotel attacked.) Of course, this is all from early reports and they are often wrong.

16. Radisson Hyatt Days Inn
The owners of record are very likely Palestinians, but the big hotels generally do it this way for a lot of reasons.

These were big american hotel chain hotels.

18. So what do we know?
Edited on Wed Nov-09-05 05:03 PM by firefox
Hell, we just found out here yesterday that the CIA budget is $44 billion which means it is larger than the military budget of the UK that is second to the US military budget.

How do we know that it wasn't the CIA? And even if it wasn't the CIA, what does the CIA do with $44 billion a year? Remember the two Brits in Basra in Arab clothing shooting at the Iraqi police that were rescued from jail with a British tank and we were told the wall just happened to fall down?
