Remembrance: The reason why * is popular with mainstream Americans. #42:
"You know, there's concern about jobs going overseas. I
share the concern. We want people working here. We want our
jobs here. And the best way to do so is to make sure this
is the best place to do business in the world. The best way
to make sure jobs are here, this is a place for
risk-takers, feel comfortable taking risk, and you're able
to do so without getting sued right and left -- so we need
tort reform." George W Bush, 18 August 2004.

So it's not because Americans are stupid, have no god-given right to a job, and surely not because it's more fun to whine about having to pay $3/hr to somebody who'd otherwise be paid $50/hr in America, it's because we need tort reform in order to bring jobs back.
:wtf:

Average Americans heard him loud and clear, hence his deserved victory in November 2004. :sarcasm:

1. This from the guy who is suing
the manufacturer of his body armor, because it *might* have been defective. I think if he gets shot in the chest and dies he has an airtight case, but otherwise I think you have no right to sue when nothing bad happened and besides, shouldn't he be leading by example? Typical republican, it's bad when you do it, but it's a totally different situation when they do it :eyes:

2. Unfortunately ...
... he thinks TORT REFORM means adding new desserts to the WH menu. (I understand that Apple Crisp Tort is his personal favourite).

4. If they had never abolished slavery through a bloody war...
it would be dead today anyway. Minimum wage is far cheaper than room, board, and clothing for a slave.

I never thought of it that way, but that makes perfect sense.

5. I hate reading anything this guy says....
...because I can always HEAR his stupid voice in my head. Speaking of which, has anybody else noticed that he has sounded particularly drunk a couple of times recently -- specifically on the occasion of his anniversary and the other night in Virginia? Good thing he has a chauffeur -- I'd hate to have him out driving around in that condition.
