A winning ticket for 2008
Figure the knock on Warner is going to be a lack of Foreign Policy experience. That is always the way it is with Governors But remember also that governors always beat senators in the General Election. Now you also have to do electoral calculus. figure the VEEP choice has to be a strategic choice in that it has to put a state in play or create true enthusiasm.

So who out there has the best credentials when it comes to foreign Policy who at the same time gives us an electoral edge.

The answer is Bill Richardson

Congressman
Energy Secretary
UN ambassador
Two Term Governor
Gravitas instead of a bully
North Korea Trusts him

the First minority to ascend to the VEEP

Richardson draws i Hispanics in Florida, Arizona and Nevada. Warner is Adored in Virginia. that is four states that we can win... and everything else is locked

1. I think Colorado would also be in play there.
Ohio is always in play and we might win Iowa back too. Pretty soon, we are talking a pretty big win there.

6. I would downplay the race card but
he I think he has the potenmtial torun all the battleground stats because he het traditionally non-coting Hispanics to the polls.. That is lijel better than the margin in some of the states we lost

18. LOL the race thing again.
I think he has the potenmtial to run all the battleground states because he would get the traditionally non-voting Hispanics to the polls.. That is little better than the margin in some of the states we lost

I'm serious.
Doesn't have good name recognition, either.

9. Could live with either of those tickets.....But Gov Richardson might
prefer Richardson/Warner or Richardson/Schweitzer

Any combination of the above holds great potential. Throw in Edwards, Bayh and Clark and you have an excellent pool from which to pick.

16. I would pick Breden before Edwards.
He would be cast as a retread.

Richardson the top of the ticket is fine with me...He has the gravitas to govern I am just not sure he has the fire in the belly to win.

I am also not sure he come across as the nice guy down the street who would help you paint your house. Its sort of an undefinable quality: Reagan, Clinton and W have that quality: Gore and Kerry not quitr as much. Warner definitely does.

8. Check out OR governor
OR has been blessed with some great governors in the past that would have made excellent leaders of the nation and were overlooked!
He may not have a name like Kennedy or even Jones but he has truly led OR through a lot of controversial times and still is leading!
In integrity, alone, he would put many dem leaders to shame!

10. potential richardson liabilities...
i like bill richardson, and think the upside might outweigh the downside...

but, there were a couple of energy department scandals on his watch; and he weighed in very heavily on the side of folding when there was still a real case to be made in New mexico electoral finagling in'04.

given the scandals of the next three years the Win Le Ho thing will be nothing more than a brief episode.

Republicans will not want to reopen fresh wounds.

15. Go Green Baby.
I would rather win and govern then lose and hear another four years of whining about Diebold, Fundies and who really killed Wellstone.

(got my flame-retardant suit on and I am feeling....fiesty)
