Gas is 15 cents a gallon in Caracas?
Did I hear this correctly? Listening to the Alex Jones Show replay on shortwave, he said gas was 15 cents a gallon down there.

6. Wonder if Bush will invite Ozzie Guillen and the Sox to the White House?
Knowing Bushitler, he might snub them since they kicked the ass of poppy's favorite team, and they are managed by a friend of Chavez.

7. And compared to the average Venezuelan salary...
I imagine that's close to the equivalent of $80/gallon here.

8. gas money
I would think most Venezuelans have neither autos nor heated homes. The cost of fuel is not too important to them. Have been to Caracas three times.

9. As would be the case here
if gas cost so much in comparison to what people earned.

10. It depends. The folks who live on the north and west hillsides are very
poor...those to the south and east are wealthy. Actually nobody needs home heating, it rarely gets cold (in what little winter they have) or hot in the summer...it's 3000 feet above the tropical area down by the airport at Maiquetia, actually a very nice climate. Where do you stay there? I've used several hotels but my favorite is the Continental Altimira. They don't speak English but that's one thing I like. :D

11. Caracas
The Hilton downtown. Those hills you speak of are the ones I normally see coming in from Maiquetia. They are pretty poor, but must have incredible views.
