Jeremy Scahill's article in the upcoming The Nation covers the newest crony appointment (a young ideological lawyer Tommy Thompson brought to Washington) who is in charge of US preparedness for epidemic, pandemic, bio-warfare attack--- umm, he used to be a lawyer for Amtrak, so I guess he's just the ticket (sarcasm).

The reason I'm going to kick and recommend this thread is that I think this is just the next most likely step in the overall PNAC plan.

While we buzz with trying to understand what's up and what's next in Iraq and the ME, the PNAC thugs can just progress to the next big money-making scheme. Now that the oil fellows are tucked snuggly into the public trough (they'll get their Caspian pipeline and a lot of taxpayer padding), it's time to move on to the drug manufactureres. Jeremy Scahill shows how Scooter Libby's disgusting little novel was about a Small Pox epidemic, how the PNACS along with Judy Miller played some sort of Dungeons and Dragons game acting out (practicing) a pandemic.

Hey, if they can convince folks that the bio-weapons came into the hands of al-Qaeda via the Syrian or Iranian border, so much the better for their corporate plan--

whole show is exceptional as far as events being discussed here, but the part that you highlighted is what made the warning bells go off for me and once again if people would listen to the whole show they will see how the "dark side" is more involved in this then people think.
