Some Iraq Projects Running Out of Money, US Says
By T. Christian Miller
Los Angeles Times
September 8, 2005

The U.S. will halt construction work on some water and power plants in Iraq because it is running out of money for projects, officials said Wednesday. Security costs have cut into the money available to complete some major infrastructure projects that were started under the $18.4-billion U.S. plan to rebuild Iraq. As a result, the United States is funding only those projects deemed essential by the Iraqi government.

8. No support from Congress would do Bush a big favor.
He could get out of Iraq and blame somebody else if it falls apart.

6. I didn't realise that's how we got out of Vietnam.
I had figured Kissinger had his fill carpet bombing the region.

Was it a Democrat controlled congress?
