Here is evil that does not motivate the neocons. We at DU should acknowledge it. Die for the Dear Leader, Kim Jong Il. Or at least starve. Chilling. Oh, forgive me, it's not something that our Glorious Administration need consider. Or will consider. There is evil. It's here in corrupting our own nation, and it's elsewhere, including North Korea. Not comparing the two, only the needle and the damage done.

1. Why should they care?
They didn't care when Americans were dying for lack of food, water, and basic care on the streets of New Orleans.

3. He's terrible and he has WMD... but, let's compare.
Let's see - Saddam, no WMD, no threat to anybody. He's get invaded & overthrown. (check out what Powell & Rice said in mid 2001 - Saddam was not even a threat to his neighbors!)

North Korea - Kim Jong Il, has WMD and threatens to destabilize the region. He rattles his saber about WMD and what does the Bush White House do? They announce that they'll be withdrawing our troops from South Korea soon... something North Korea had wanted for 50 years!

What kind of message is that?

6. Apparently so. And we are weaker for it. Thank you, my friend.
Anybody that wants to challenge me on this can look up my record on W. Evil is W. I don't say Kim Jong Il is more evil, because he has not been in a position to wreck the United States of America and all we have stood and fought for, whatever our faults. That is evil with power. But make no mistake: Kim Jong Il is indeed evil. And to deny it is to do so at peril. Re: Thomas More, Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert Kennedy, Confucius, Christ, and most recently, Rosa Parks.
