Target v. Wal Mart? Any opinions?
I despise Wal Mart, but my moderately sized town has two Wal Marts and a Sams club. No Target, no Costco, and a very small K-Mart.

Word around town was that Wal Mart opened the second store to keep Target from coming here.

The closest Target or Costco is about 75 miles away.

Whenever feasible, I shop Target on the net just to keep from spending my money at Wal Mart.

I really like shopping Target, but would like opinions about their treatment of employees, etc. versus Wal Mart.

2. Target doesn't support women's rights
They support pharmacist's rights.
They will never get another dollar from me.

3. I worked at target
my experience is that they were decent to employees, but they demanded urine tests which I dislike on civil liberties grounds. I say keep shopping online as much as you can, you'll get better deals. I'm not sure the difference between target and walmart is big enough to justify a 75 mile drive though, if you must shop in town. Wal-mart is in many ways a product of conservative policies. They slash workers rights because they can, and want to compete. If we want to really stop it we have to do it at a policy level, or boycotting walmart will just make a new walmart with a different name.
