Bush supporters believed we found WMD in Iraq. Until yesterday.
Something just occured to me about Bush's speech yesterday. Bush admitted that we've found no WMD in Iraq in a venue designed to appeal to his most core supporters. And those are the people most likely to still believe we'd found WMD in Iraq.
I think a fair portion of his remaining support comes from, not rabidly loyal freepers, but regular people who are living in a fog of Fox News misinformation. I wonder how much support this new tactic will cost Bush in that crowd?
I just can't believe how intensely stupid that move was yesterday.
he sometimes resorts to the truth as a means of extricating himself from responsibility. (Lott is doing the same thing.) Perhaps * is hoping that his new admission will win him sympathy votes.
