Katrina Has Brought Grief To My Home

I just got off the phone with my Mom and she has informed me that the authoritys near NOLA have found the body of her 1st cousin who was 67 years old two blocks and under a house from where she lived. Her family had been searching for her for the past several weeks and assumed that she had floated away a good distance.

The womans daughter was talking to her on the phone when the Hurricane took her away.

Your concerns are appreciated. I just hope that she has been added to the official tally.

I'm in Miami, and tho Wilma was nothing compared with what Katrina did in NOLA, we here can relate a bit more to the terrible suffering that is still going on in NOLA, and for people related to people who died there. A hug to you and your family.

I'm so sorry that you got such bad news. A 67-year-old woman should not have to die in such a terrible way. I'm not very eloquent tonight, but I think you know what I'm trying to say.

What a horrible thing for the daughter, to have to live the rest of her life with the memory of that last phone conversation.

I will be thinking of you and your family tonight. Peace to all of you.

How many tears have been shed since this jackass took over? How many tears? My sympathy and prayers to you and your family. This was SO unnecessary.

It's horrible that so many people have experienced such losses. I'm glad that she was at least found and that your family is able to have some sort of closure.

I'm very concerned that the authorities are not letting us know what the real tally is from this catastrophe. I hope to see them held accountable one day.
