The question and answer section was especially interesting. I would really like to hear opinions on this presentation.

Also in other news, did you know that in the past month they have found this virus in cats, dogs, and pigs? one link about the dogs

Hong Kong states they expect it to go pandemic in the spring in todays news.

Please watch the presentation and give me your opinion.

3. I've got my Tamiflu...
This is real.

I don't listen to pResident fear monger.

I've been listening to scientists, virologists and medical experts for the past 18 months. I read "Nature", "Scientific American" and medical journals to form my opinion.

I am really concerned about DUers who dismiss bird flu because Junior has attached his name to the subject. This is a legitimate, very serious subject. Junior remained silent when the World Health Organization was screaming at him to pay attention and prepare. He did nothing.

Now, he's using the subject to stimulate fear. He'll "Patriot Act" more freedoms out of us, when the pandemic hits.

The only reason he said ANYTHING now--is so he can later say, "I warned ya! I told ya!" as he pretends that he did nothing.

This is another Katrina. He knows it's coming. He did nothing to inform the public and to truly help them prepare. He'll stand by and watch the disaster unfold--delighted that the middle and lower classes are being culled.

Will a pandemic happen? Maybe. It depends on if the virus can jump from human-->human. The virus is spreading like wildfire around the globe. Six months ago, it was only in remote, rural areas in Asia. The virus is now in Asia, Europe, Africa and was recently found in birds in Canada.

This is a virulent virus. The fact that it has spread around the world--in birds--indicates that it is a very powerful bug. Also, a pandemic is more likely--as the virus saturates more parts of the world.

Remember the 1918 Spanish flu? Recently, scientists excavated the body of a woman who died of the 1918 flu. They were astounded to see how similar--in genetic structure--the 1918 flu and bird flu are. These same scientists believe that today's bird flu will behave and mutate similar to how the 1918 flu did--based on their very-similar molecular structure.

Please, do your own research. Don't blow this off. It may not happen, but the pandemic precursors that are happening now--could lead us in that direction.

It is not just the flu, it is everything that goes with it. I really really am looking for opinions on the briefing...

6. Thanks for startiing to watch it
When you finish I'd love to know your reaction. It kind of freaked me out. I love how he went off on both the dems and reps on their dragging their feet during the question and answer period.
