If an ordinary citizen charges too much on a credit card and cannot pay,

they are irresponsible and must be punished. the new bankruptcy bill pretty much assures that.

BUT

a president who was put into office under some pretty sketchy circumstances, and remained there under equally sketchy conditions, can charge (to the public's account) as much as HE wants, even though any 5th grader could see that this will be one tough debt to pay off, and that 5th grader will be the one paying for it...well that's OK??

This whole debt thing is very reminsicent of a distant relative who mooches his way into your house, and while you are at work, he rummages through your desk, and goes online ordering all kinds of stuff on YOUR card..Only after he's moved on, with all the loot (that arrives while YOU are gone), and YOU get the bill, do you realize what he has done..

There IS one difference..

YOU can call the police and file charges against him and send him to jail...

I have two, tiny credit cards--total credit is less than 900--and I cannot pay them because my manufacturing job(S!!) vanished. And while I don't pay them they are cheerfully climbing into the stratosphere, far beyond the careful one-month's-wages limit I set for myself.

So I'm being punished for what, again? Falling for that hard-work-is-rewarded bullshit?
