re Pat Robertson attacking voters in Dover PA
heard this Sun on Dr Dill ?? show on Tulsa RW talk radio station 740am

he slammed Robertson; I was very surprised to hear this on this station

according to him, Robertson said: the Dover voters voted out the entire school board who had wanted ID taught; they therefore had voted God out of their community ....... and therefore they could not call on God if their town was hit by a disaster

the host said this was a mind set from thousands of years ago and that he found it incredible that someone would be saying something like this in 2005........the host also claimed 75% of the voters in the town were republican

1. I say thank God for Pat Robertson...
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 04:42 PM by SteppingRazor
from now on, everytime an ID proponent tries to tell me ID isn't about God and isn't creationism, I will throw Pat Robertson's words right in their faces.

God bless you, Pat. You've stuck your foot so deep into your mouth that you've crapped it out your ass.

3. But- wait- I thought "Intelligent Design" wasn't about god.
Now Pat says that if you're against teaching ID in school, you're against god? I think... hmm... yes- I think that's a contradiction! My goodness, I've never seen one of those coming from a guy like Robertson before. How should I react?!

Robertson warns Pennsylvania voters of God's wrath
Eight 'intelligent design' school board members lost election

Thursday, November 10, 2005; Posted: 5:27 p.m. EST (22:27 GMT)

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson told citizens of a Pennsylvania town that they had rejected God by voting their school board out of office for supporting "intelligent design" and warned them Thursday not to be surprised if disaster struck.

....

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city," Robertson said on his daily television show broadcast from Virginia, "The 700 Club."

"And don't wonder why He hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for His help because he might not be there," he said.

....

In voting on Tuesday, eight Dover, Pennsylvania, school board members up for re-election lost their seats after trying to introduce a statement on "intelligent design" to high school biology students.
