Smell that? It's the Republican Medicare Drug turd stinkin up the joint
We really need to reinforce with every senior citizen that the idiotic, impossible to decipher, money stuffed into the pockets of the drug and insurance companies farce otherwise known as the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan is the the definitive example of Republicans screwing the people in order to enrich their corporate cronies.

This plan sucks. My dyed on the wool Republican father thinks it sucks. Anyone with a brain in their head knows it sucks.

Hammer it home. Bang bang bang.

Another stupid program from BushCo and the Republican Party.

2. Its simply impossible to decipher
I tried to figure it out for my 91 year old mom. It's a scam and a scheme for drug companies.

It is crazed

8. go to their website
www.medicare.gov

happy navigating. They expect seniors to use the internet to educate themselves. There can be 80+ plans to choose from. It's sad and confusing.

I agree with the others that this a big payback for the Pharma/Insurance companies for their campaign contributions.

aka clusterf*ck.

10. It screws every senior citizen in this
country. The pharmaceutical companies get richer and richer while we get poorer and poorer. It is bacon for them and the rinds for us. Their ulterior motive must be to let us all die off now.

11. But HOW does this plan help big pharma
get richer while we get poorer? Do you know of analytical articles about it? I am looking on google right now.

That's one big way the taxpayer is getting screwed.

7. It was just a big ole sloppy kiss to the pharma companies
They got THEIR money./.CASH money right in the beginning...to "study" ways to "help" the seniors..

Their big idea?? cards (like most of them already offered)..and in the "development" stages they had plent of time to raise the prices of the drugs they planned to "offer at a discount"..

price increase 30%.....discount 25%..such a deal :(

12. Yep. They sure screwed granny with this one.
I refuse to partake. What was so hard about covering the drug needs of senior citizens and working out a deal for a lower cost of drugs like Canada's Medicare does? Since this bill passed, the cost of drugs in many cases have doubled so even if you get a discount, you will still end up paying more.

14. You get penalized if you refuse to choose a plan.
Plus they will chose one for you.

They get ya coming or going - as planned.

(I found one that will actually benefit me - until they take my drugs out of the formulary, or decide my little county isn't worth bothering with.)

15. I already had another plan, which they will allow you to keep.
So that's the route I'm going even though it doesn't cover as much as the other plans. Just my third finger up to them.

16. I consider this plan to be criminal.
There is absolutely no excuse for putting senior citizens through this crap. I hope all those seniors who still support the republican agenda will begin to realize that "free competition" and the choices involved are not always in the public interest.

17. Republicans are like Area 51.
They Don't admit anything, and do everything behind closed doors at 3:00 in the morning.

Legislation goes out the front door to the corporate rich yacht owners to keep their martini glasses full, then at election time republicans go around to the back door and there's those yacht owners with their payola to be sure they get more legislation or they won't come around to the back door next year.

All we need is the carousel music.
