"Who's Your Supplier, FEMA???"

We had a site meeting today, where the entire facility was briefed on the past quarter. At the end, there are always quick announcements. This time, the nurse announced that right now there will be no flu shots in our facility, but they can go externally to get one for $25 (normally our co. provides them free). She stated that she doesn't know when she will be getting her doses in, and that she's tried contacting her supplier a bunch of times to no avail. After that comment someone shouted out "Who's your supplier, FEMA???"

The entire room of 150 people burst into hearty laughter.

Thought I would pass that one on :)

Though sad, because at one point FEMA was known for being one of the more effective government agencies.

2. FEMA, properly staffed and funded

Is an excellent agency in a mission critical position. The destruction of this agency is part of the "drown it in the bathtub" plan. The fact that the mere mention of it's name is now a punchline shows that they have succeeded.
